I never thought about it but I guess you can just use the 30 day trial version of MR to do the deed too, without risking messing up your licenses. If something goes wrong physically or I do something stupid at least I have a very recent backup to recover from. I deactivated MR and put the license back on the original then did the clone - actually I always work from a backup rather than clone drives, less chance to muck something up. and licensed it and created the MR recovery ISO. Then installed MR on a quick Windows 10 install I did on the NEW unit. Because I needed the MR Recovery to also have the Redeploy option (paid product only), I ended up removing the license from the M.2 unit. I was stuck like this when I replaced a machine on which I had MR installed on. The recover media that sees the NVME SHOULD see the SATA M.2 just fine as it's a common interface. There is no need to reboot your PC after restoring an Image and before you run ReDeploy. You should restore your system image to the PC being deployed before running ReDeploy. Try the recovery media FIRST to make sure it sees the NVME, if it does not then you'll have to setup a quick Windows installation on the new PC and install MR on it and create the recovery media that CAN see the NVME.
